Great Redwood Trail Community Event

Come on out for the Great Redwood Trail Community Event on Saturday, October 14th, located at the Dyerville Overlook near Founder’s Grove, exit 663 off Highway 101.

Friends of the Eel River, Humboldt Trails Council, and KEET TV are asking for volunteers to help with set-up, parking, waste management, and more. We’re also seeking organizations to table and host activities.

The Great Redwood Trail is a proposed 320-mile multi-use rail-to-trail connection between San Francisco and Humboldt Bays. This event will be a family-friendly day of fun and a space to share information about the trail planning process with the local community and invite feedback from community members. We are inviting organizations and community stakeholders to table this event. Activities planned so far include a paint-a-fish community art project, a presentation from Senator Mike McGuire’s office, a bike safety mapping project, a water safety presentation, and a Kid Zone.

If you’re interested in tabling or to volunteer, call 707-798-6345 or email foer@eelriver.org for details.
