You are invited to join fellow Friends of the Eel River supporters to celebrate 30 years of successful advocacy for our beloved river and all its inhabitants. Enjoy a catered dinner by Cassaro’s Catering, inspirational and exciting entertainment, an amazing silent auction, live music by the Ponies of Harmony, and more!

Join us Saturday, September 6th from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Fortuna River Lodge.

Ticket sales help us continue our work to engage our community in planning for the Great Redwood Trail, fight for proper groundwater management in Humboldt County, improve water quality and protect instream flows, and perhaps most importantly of all, keep the pressure on PG&E to quickly and safely remove the Eel River dams. Want to lend your time instead? All volunteers receive free entry.

30th Anniversary Celebration Poster 1 1

Friends of the Eel River was formed by a small group of dedicated Eel River enthusiasts. Spearheaded by our passionate founder, Nadananda, a grassroots group soon formed to advocate for the river, its fish, and all the communities who rely on a healthy ecosystem. One of our very first actions was to intervene in proceedings of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the agency which oversees the two dams in the Eel River headwaters. Today we are closer than ever to seeing the dams decommissioned and removed, but we need to keep up the pressure to ensure the river is freed in time to support revitalization of the Eel’s wild, native fish.

If you can’t join us for the celebration, there are other ways to be involved!
