Calling all friends of the Eel: We need as many hands on deck as we can get for the upcoming North Country Fair! It’ll be on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th at the Arcata Plaza.
Every year, Friends of the Eel River shares a booth with Salmonid Restoration Federation dedicated to all things salmonid. It’s always an incredible day full of outreach, education about our watershed, fundraising for a cause, and of course, the great music, food, and people of the Fair. Our team of four at FOER is mighty, but we are small, and 10am – 6pm on both the 19th and the 20th is a lot of hours to fill.
If you love the Eel River, the North Country Fair, or just want to try something new, consider signing up for a two hour volunteer slot! You’ll learn how to do public outreach, deepen your knowledge of our incredible watershed, and provide a much-needed break to our staff. Not feeling social? Volunteer to help us with set up or clean up!
We usually have a spot in the shade with a great view of live performances. Plus, every volunteer will receive their choice of a sticker, magnet, or enamel pin as a thank you! Please email any questions you may have to Kanan at foer@eelriver.org.
